The Air Force doesn’t get as much attention on the silver screen as the other military services, but Cameron Crowe — director of “Say Anything,” “Jerry Maguire,” and “Almost Famous” — is about to change that.

The first trailer for his new film, “Aloha,” hit the web yesterday. The military-themed romantic comedy is about a washed-up defense contractor, played by Bradley Cooper of “American Sniper,” who travels to Hawaii in an attempt to salvage his career. While there, he reconnects with an old flame, played by Rachel McAdams, while becoming infatuated with an Air Force officer played by Emma Stone.

The movie has a huge cast, including Alec Baldwin as a ranting four-star general who drops references to Flavor Flav while dressing down Cooper.

Bill Murray is also in it as Cooper’s defense contractor boss. John Krasinski from “The Office” plays a reticent airman and romantic rival for Cooper, and Danny McBride of “Eastbound and Down” and “Pineapple Express” plays a colonel, believe it or not. The movie is slated to be released May 29.
