The Air Warrior Courage Foundation, holding the motto to “care for our own,” was formed back in 1998 as a charitable foundation, providing scholarships and aid to active duty, Guard, reserve, retired military personnel and their families and the families of deceased military members. Dover airmen and their families now have a way to come together for worship, for thanks and even for grief. A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony was held Feb. 25 at the new chapel center at Dover Air Force Base, Del., celebrating chaplains, lawmakers and airmen who made the new chapel a reality. “I’m reminded of all the spiritual needs of the men and women of Dover,” said Rep. At 8 p.m. this Thursday, Feb. 21, Animal Planet will debut GLORY HOUNDS, a two-hour, first-of-its-kind special with Animal Planet’s filmmakers and camera crews documenting handlers and military working dogs in some of the most volatile regions of Afghanistan.
