Between the Navy’s Blue Angels, the Air Force’s Thunderbirds, and other various aircraft, flyovers for the Super Bowl have wowed audiences for decades. This year, the Blue Angels will open Super Bowl 50, at Levi’s Stadium, California, with their “signature six-jet Delta formation.” But during the game itself, there will be other aerial backup. Air Force F-15 Eagles from the California Air National Guard have been training for weeks leading up to the big game, the Air Force said. The fighter jets will be patrolling the skies for wandering aircraft who have flown into restricted airspaces (on Sunday, the skies…

The Air Force is reminding the Army Black Knights that even if they lose, it’s okay. Just “Shake it Off.” The Air Force Parachute Team, known as  the Wings of Blue, put their agility to the test as they dance — and plunge — to Taylor Swift’s album hit “Shake it Off” for the Air Force vs. Army football spirit video. The teams go head-to-head Nov. 1 at West Point. Winning the last 17 of 20 games against Army, the odds could be in the Falcon’s favor. Check out the video below:

Air Force Athletics announced that Hall was signed to the practice squad during the season by San Francisco and was moved to the active roster for last weekend’s NFC Championship game. Hall, who spent the last two seasons with the Eagles, wears No. 14 for the 49ers. In 2010, Hall was the first service academy grad to make the Eagles’ active team roster for that season. Hall…

If this were an episode of “E! Fashion Police,” the Air Force would have (more than likely) been on the “worst dressed” list. Flashback: Air Force played Navy over the weekend, with the Midshipmen winning 28-21 in overtime against the Falcons. But what also caused a stir were the new uniforms Air Force was sporting: Specially designed uniforms, inspired by the Air Force’s B-2 Spirit and F-22 Raptor aircraft. The name on the back of the even-numbered jerseys had “F-22 Raptor” while the odd numbered jerseys had “B-2 Spirit” in place of the names. The helmet logo represented the top…

This young boy was all smiles during his daylong call of duty. Eleven-year-old Wyatt Denton was given the opportunity to experience a day in the life of an Air Force cadet at the Air Force Academy, Colo., on Sept. 28, CBS/KKTV reported. Wyatt was diagnosed a few years ago with lymphoma and since he was little, he’s always shown interest in being in the Air Force. Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Wyatt’s dream came true. The Air Force’s newest cadet filed in wearing his very own sized flight suit and cap. His name tag read, “Wyatt Denton, Cadet For A Day.”…
