Be sure to look for Capt. Jamie Turner during the Ironman World Championship this Saturday.

The C-17 pilot  is a member of the 317th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, S.C.,  and she represented the Air Force last year in the brutal race that includes a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run.

Turner took home the win among females in the military division and she’s looking to do it again this year. She clocked in at an impressive 10 hours and 48 minutes and was tapped to represent the Air Force again this year.

She suffered a stress fracture this spring, according to this article from the Charleston Post and Courier, but seems to have bounced back in time for the gun this year.
