Two Special Operations Command Pacific jumpers from Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam recently performed a free fall jump out of a C-17 Globemaster III as stunt doubles for the show’s actors. Maj. Aaron Lawson, Special Operations Command, Pacific jumper and special tactics officer served as a stunt double for “Hawaii Five-0” actor Alex O’Loughlin, who plays Det. Steve McGarrett on the show. Lt. Col. Rodney Lewis is one of four military members in the 15-member 2011-2012 class of White House Fellows. The Air Force women’s softball team wrapped up the gold medal at the 2011 Armed Forces Softball Championship last week — and that gives me plenty of reason to link to this fun story from the service’s greatest C-17 reserve unit stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
